Dear Santa,
I've been good this year, I think, so I have a few (maybe more than a few, sorry) things on my Christmas Wish List. There is also one thing on my list I hope you can talk to Mother Nature about, I'm sure you all are friends, right?
Sincerely,
Summerilla

Every two years Nelson and I like to plan a trip to upstate New York, Lake Placid to be exact and spend a few days skating and playing in the snow. It's usually a winter wonderland up there, which is my favorite type of weather. Every year we go I usually gear my Christmas Wish List toward items I know will keep me warm in the mountains. Of course I still want to look cute while staying warm as well. So I usually layer a ton so I can still stay warm in cute sweater dresses. SO of course I added some cute winter dresses to my list. This year is also all about the shoes for me. There are quite a few on my wishlist (Santa remember I've been good).
THE DRESSES (remember JCrew is having an amazing sale right now, 30% off all orders over $250)
All from Jcrew
The Shoes
JCrew Emmet ankle boot (in tan and black please!)
Sperry for JCrew snow boots
Tory Burch Nathan Flat Booties (both colors!)
The Accessories
From JCrew
And if money grew on trees
Christian Louboutin Ron Ron's in glitter to add to my collection
and the most gorgeous green Proenza Schouler Ps1
and lastly if it's not too much to ask...
SNOW! I would love for lots and lots of snow this winter. And if it's not too much to ask please make sure Mirror Lake in Lake Placid, NY freezes over before December 30th. Thanks!

I'm digging the Tory boots. I asked Santa for snow this Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI love all your picks and hope Santa is good to you this year!
ReplyDeleteQuick question as you go to Lake Placid each year. We live in Canada but are close enough to drive and are heading there this February. I am wondering if you could recommend a good place to stay? Any recommendations are welcome!
Have a great holiday and thank you in advance,
M.
Angie's Closet - I hope Santa brings us tons of snow!
ReplyDeleteM - I recommend staying on Mirror lake (smaller lake in Lake Placid) It's where the Olympic ice skating oval is. The lake freezes over in the winter and they have dog sled rides on it and you can go ice skating. Main street is also right there where all the shops and restaurants are. The two hotels I most recommend are Mirror Lake Inn (which is beautiful on the inside) and Golden Arrow Lakeside resort. Both hotels are right on the water. The Mirror Lake Inn is more upscale, however the Golden Arrow has the best location because it's right in the middle of everything. The Golden Arrow is still nice though and has some really sweet rooms with fireplaces. I hope you have a great time. It is my favorite place to visit in the winter. I hope you love it.
